Natalia M Rodriguez

Natalia M. Rodríguez Ortiz was born on March 3, 1987 in Aibonito. Still, she grew up in Cayey, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in general biology at the University of Puerto Rico. It was at the university's Interdisciplinary Research Institute in Cayey where she began to stand out as a research assistant on topics related to the management of natural and environmental resources in Puerto Rico from an interdisciplinary perspective, which led her to complete her master's and doctorate degrees in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Río Piedras Campus. Over the past 10 years, her practical and research experiences have been developed in Río Piedras through the socio-ecological study of urban streams and her collaboration in the Community Garden and Urban Forest of Capetillo, project of CAUCE-UPRRP. She is the garden coordinator and collaborates with various organizations such as the San Juan Bay Estuary Program, Para la Naturaleza, Creando sin encargos, and the Forest Service of the Federal Department of Agriculture.
