Stefanie Kroll
Stefanie is Director of Riverways Collaboration, where she is coordinating bacterial monitoring, youth environmental education, advocacy for cleaner rivers, and public programming. In addition, Stefanie provides development support to non-profits. She previously led the Watershed Ecology Lab at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University for nearly a decade. As part of that work, she developed and coordinated the community & professional joint monitoring program for the Delaware River Watershed Initiative, a restoration collaborative involving over 60 nonprofits. Stef has performed freshwater research and mentored students over the past decade, with a commitment to broadening representation in STEM. She has a Ph.D. in Ecology and has been studying diverse human impacts to waterways since 2007. After living in Spain for 8 years and Bolivia, she is fluent in Spanish and experienced in translation and community support. Outside of work, Stef can usually be found teaching or taking yoga classes in South Philadelphia, where she lives with her husband, Ivan, and dogs, Gertie and Carly.
